On 30 January 2020, the WHO declared a public health emergency of international concern on the novel coronavirus outbreak that originated in Wuhan City, China. Just two months after this, the outbreak was classified as pandemic, affecting 114 countries. During this time, scientists and policy makers were in clamor to slowdown the spread of the virus. The disease outbreak preparedness and responses of countries were put in challenge. In this lecture, let us join Dr. Senjuti Saha tells us the journey of Bangladesh in their fight against COVID-19. Here she shared about how they set up a COVID-19 diagnostic lab in Bangladesh within 5 days, became the first NGO to start testing, and how they went to sequencing from there.
