As of February 11 , 2022

What is the GECO PH Project?

GECO PH aims to operationalize SARS-CoV-2 genomic surveillance within the Philippines national public health infrastructure to support provincial and regional COVID-19 control and mitigation measures.

PH-wide genomic sequencing

We are harnessing the power of genomic sequencing to inform public health interventions.

Led by the University of Glasgow and Research Institute for Tropical Medicine we have partnered with the Philippine Genome Center - Mindanao, UP-NIH and DOH subnational laboratories to develop regional capacity for genomic sequencing.
